Project Silverback is LURA’s liquid rocketry development programme that aims to give students experience in developing rocket propulsion systems. The programme aims to finish with the hotfire of the Silverback propulsion system – an electric propellant fed liquid rocket engine, sized for a Spaceshot rocket. Before initiating the Silverback engine, the team will learn about propulsion in smaller and more steady steps by developing and testing engines and feed systems.
